How to Achieve Your Own Internet Success Story.

Part 2

Now that you know the first secret to being able to tell your
own Internet Success Story, it's time to learn the second
secret.

A very simple website consisting of two, maybe three pages.

Did you blink?

Did you miss it?

Are you shaking your head thinking that the rest of the article
is missing?

No, that's it. No Glitz. No Glamour. No 300 page eBook, with
the same information on each page, just with different words, to
tell you what I just did with ten words.

A very simple website consisting of two, maybe three pages is
all it takes to effectively and successfully sell any product
you want.

Page 1... Sales Copy
Page 2... Order Form
Page 3... Thank You/Download Page

There's your website.

Neat, simple, to the point and not a lot you need to keep
spending useful time updating.

What do I put on each page?

The concept of having a two, three page site itself is really
quite simple, the tricky part is the content that you put on
each page.

The main emphasis on any website is the words, not the graphics,
flash presentations, pictures, animations, sounds or movies that
you put on it. A few small graphics, (ie.. bullets, arrows,
checkmarks, logos, etc.) can help you make a point or list
benefits, but there is really no need of large graphics that
both take time to load and keep the search engine spiders away.

Of course the main focus of your words should be put on the
sales page, or home page, of your website to make the person buy
your product.

* PAGE 1

The first page of you site, or the home page, is most often your
sales page. The page that all visitors land on in order to get
the information they want about your product.

This is where your sales pitch is made, the list of benefits,
and a few testimonials thrown into the mix for good measure.

A very important part of your sales pitch is to add relevant
content to show the reader that you know what you're talking
about. Example being........

You have written a great eBook on how to keep a marriage
together and how a couple can live a much longer, healthier and
more enjoyable life together. Within your sales page you want
to give a few steps to making a date night, or steps to
communicating more effectively, or whatever.

The point is you want to give a little useful content to...

1. Give the reader some insight into what the book holds.

2. Show the reader that you know what you're talking about.

3. Help your ranking in any search engine. (Theme sights with
content rank higher than non-themed, sales oriented sites.)

By using this type of information throughout your page, it gets
the reader's emotions into a buying mode. They want to get even
more information or find out more about a particular subject
that you talked about in your little sales pitch.

Don't put any links on this page for any other products. Unless
you like losing customers. This is your website, your product,
why send someone to another site for a pitiful commission?

Keep the graphics to a minimum. Like stated before you can
use...

A. Bullets to separate benefits of your product keep things
neat and orderly. Plus gives a little added color and texture
with all the words.

B. Check marks are great for pointing out big benefits or
making sure the reader picks up on an important part.

C. Small graphics such as..... paragraph headings or special
notices placed within ovals, stars, or small squares add
something different than just regular fonts and headings.

D. Book cover or software box are becoming a must have now to
give the reader a visual representation of what they are reading
about and eventually buying.

The largest graphic you should use is your logo or website name
at the top of the site. Most websites contain a heading all the
way across the screen, usually between 600 and 700 pixels.

The size of this page should be within reason. What do I mean
by that? Well, do you want to keep reading and reading and
reading and reading forever? No? Guess what?

Noone else does either.

Use your own judgement.

* PAGE 2

You must always have an order page. Even if you're using a
service such as Clickbank or PayPal to take your payments for
you, the use of a sales page is instrumental in closing a
"maybe" buyer or adding more profits by upselling.

Highlighting, again, the most important benefit of your product
in just a few paragraphs can push a "maybe" buyer over the edge
when they are faced with the decision to buy right now.

Adding the option to buy a higher priced version of your product
or bundling another similar product with yours for a few dollars
more is "upselling" that customer. This can make a big
difference in your overall sales.

This page should be short and sweet. We're not talking about
another full sales page, just a real quick overview of the most
important benefits and a short upselling offer.

* PAGE 3

Your Thank you/Download page is exactly what is says.

This is where you add a little thank you for buying your product
and any necessary purchase information that your payment
processor may require.

The link for the download should be there and also the download
information so first timers can easily download your product and
then find it on their computer. Giving any other pertinent
downloads, (ex.. winzip or adobe reader) will also help the
customer and is great customer service.

If you were giving away any free gifts or bonuses for ordering,
this is also the place for these links.

You should always have your contact information, email address
and even a phone number where you can be reached by the customer
if they should have any problems.

Can I add an affiliate link or two on this page?

One might not hurt anything, but I wouldn't count on it
producing much.

The customer has already bought one item and might be at the end
of their budget for the month.

A better way to sell affiliate programs is to send periodic
information to help them with your product and slip in a little
advertisement at the end.

There is your complete site. It should take only a couple of
days to finish and can be selling for you the day after with the
Simple Advertising Techniques that you will learn about in Part
3.

Until then...
